This tour embarks on a journey through the turbulent
past of South Africa by visiting Soweto (South Western
Township). After the visit there is a break for lunch
(extra) at a typical Shebeen (Tavern). In the afternoon
the tour stops over at the Apartheid museum, with
excellent displays on the Soweto up-rising, ANC in
exile, petty apartheid, solitary confinement, anti-apartheid
movements abroad, sport boycotts, etc.

TOWNSHIP TOUR

This tour introduces you to the sprawling metropolis
of Soweto (South Western Township) situated on the
outskirts of Johannesburg. This place offers you a
glimpse into the turbulent past of South Africa -
hostels, Freedom Square, the struggle for liberty.
On tour you will drive past African merchants of traditional
medicines, a typical four-roomed dwelling, an informal
settlement, a crèche and an old-age home. Your
visit will also include a full view of Soweto from
the vicinity of Baragwanath Hospital and a stop at
a typical shebeen (Tavern).
HALF DAY AFTERNOON PRETORIA CITY TOUR

Experiencing the ‘Jacaranda City’ when
it is wrapped in a purple haze is a must. View the
impressive Voortekker Monument and stop at the Paul
Kruger House Museum. You will also have the opportunity
to experience the spectacular view of the city that
the Union Buildings gives. Government Drive houses
official government buildings and a host of embassies.

Experience Johannesburg’s primary theme park
and casino. Take a ride on a sightseeing train or
enjoy one of the many other exhilarating rides Gold
Reef City has to offer. You will also descend down
a 220m Gold Mine shaft for a guided underground tour,
watch a 12,5kg gold pour, visit the mine manager’s
house and be entertained by the Siyagida Dancers.

CULTURAL VILLAGE TOUR

22.00. Including A Traditional African meal.
Experience African Culture at its best - a Zulu warrior
dance combined with other ethnic traditional dances.
See the colourful huts of the Ndebele tribe adjacent
to those of the Zulu, Xhosa, Pedi and Sotho. Enjoy
a pan African feast with delicacies from north, east
and southern Africa.
